Q. Once I sign the contract is there a deposit? A. At Kelly's Fence we do not require a deposit. Payment is due upon completion and satisfaction of the work by the homeowner. A 25% deposit is required for all commercial clients.
Q. How long will it take to have my fence installed? A. Most residential fence installation usually takes one day.
Q. Will all the posts be set in concrete? A. For all aluminum, vinyl and chain link fences, posts are set in concrete. On wood fences the only posts set in concrete are the gate posts. This allows water to drain away from the posts and not set on the concrete and rot the posts. The gate posts are set in concrete to stabilize the gate. However, if the homeowner requests that the posts be set in concrete we will accommodate their request.
Q. What is the warranty on your products? A. All ornamental aluminum and vinyl products comes with a lifetime manufacturer warranty. This warranty covers fading, peeling, and blistering of the products. All wood installations comes with a limited 5 year warranty, excluding gates which are warranted for 1 year from the date of installation.
Q. I have gotten bids from other companies that cannot provide proof of insurance. Will you provide proof of insurance and licensing?
A. We will be glad to provide proof of insurance and license upon a customer request. We carry a $2,000,000 general liability aggregate policy and our employees are covered by the maximum amount of worker's compensation. Upon request we will add the property holder as a certificate holder and provide them with the certificates of insurance for General Liability and Worker's Compensation. If required we will also add our customer's as a certificate holder to our commercial auto policy. We can even provide a copy of our business license.
Q. What type of wood do you use? A. We offer three types of wood--Pressure Treated Pine, Cypress and Cedar.
Q. Do you accept credit cards? A. Yes. We accept Master Card and Visa.
Q. What is your turn around time once I accept your proposal? A. Installs are usually scheduled 5-10 business days from the time of acceptance.
Q. What is the life expectancy of my new fence? A. Ornamental Aluminum and Vinyl have the highest expectancy since they are made from metal and pvc with a 50-60 year life. Wood fences have a life expectancy of 10-20 years depending upon the wood and maintenance.
Q. What is the best way to maintain my wood fence? A. If you wish your fence to keep its natural beauty, we suggest you apply a water sealer to your fence 2 weeks after installation. These usually have to be applied every 2 years. Stains applied to the fence is another way to protect your fence. Depending upon the stain they will need to be applied every 5 years.
Q. If I have an Architectural Review Board with my Homeowner's Association, will you assist in filling out the paper work? A. We will assist you in this matter. Just contact our office and we will be glad to help you through the process.
Q. Can you custome design a fence for my home or business? A. We can custom design a fence for you. Just provide us with a picture or sketch of your design.

Q. Isn't it cheaper to buy the materials and put it up myself? A. When trying to make the decision to install a fence yourself vs. professional installers there are a few factors to take into consideration. 1. Is the quality of the fencing materials of equal or better quality? 2. What extra items are needed to install the fence? Example for Lowe's or Home Depot's vinyl fence panel brackets are required and are sold separate from the panels along with the posts and caps. 3. What will it cost me to rent or buy the equipment needed to install a fence? 4. Do I have the time to install the fence and give it a professional look.
